POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Evening Services Specialist

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Shelbyville is now accepting applications for the part-time position (not to exceed 29 hours a week) of Evening Services Specialist.  The position will be located at the Shelbyville campus. This position will work 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Some Friday hours may be required on an as needed basis and will be scheduled at the discretion of administration. Position may work day hours during student break dates.

Minimum Qualifications

The Evening Services Specialist shall have a technical diploma or higher with an emphasis in Administrative Office Technology or related area and industry or higher education environment working experience of at least one year, a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, great written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Experience working with non-traditional, veterans, or other special populations is preferred.

General Duties

The Evening Services Specialist will work under the supervision of the Vice President and President. This individual will serve as the primary contact for all evening services at the main campus and back-up for the Franklin County campus. 

The position shall be responsible for:

1. Oversee evening services and the coordination of services;
2. Develop and coordinate a strong evening program operation at the Shelbyville Main Campus;
3. Assist faculty teaching evening courses at the main campus;
4. Coordinate and assist with the delivery of services to evening students at the main campus;
5. Assist with administrative processes relative to admissions, advising, registration, financial aid, and business office services;
6. Provide exam proctoring;
7. Serve as contact for evening emergencies and inclement weather notifications;
8. Assist with the coordination of dual enrollment or dual credit documentation;
9. Assist with developing reports, as needed.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience and according to salary guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
